The Design Journey

Ebot’s development started with the vision of making robotics accessible to young learners. Our team focused on creating a balance between functionality and simplicity, ensuring that the kit remains engaging while teaching core STEM concepts.

From prototyping custom PCBs to refining the 3D-printed components, every step was carefully planned to enhance durability, ease of use, and adaptability. The iterative design process allowed us to integrate user feedback, resulting in a robotics kit that is both educational and fun.

Form Factor

Designed with a compact yet expressive structure, Ebot features a two-wheel drive system, articulated arms, a servo-powered neck and ears, and an OLED display for facial expressions. The controller enhances ease of interaction, making Ebot intuitive for users of all ages.

Materials

Ebot is built using high-quality, 3D-printed resin parts for precision and durability. The custom PCBs, sensors, and motor components ensure robust functionality, while the rechargeable battery system provides extended usability.

ENGINEERING BREAKTHROUGHS

Core

The Ebot and its controller are powered by the ESP-32 MCU, providing efficient processing for real-time robotics control and execution. Both devices feature custom PCBs designed in-house by RNN Tech, ensuring optimized performance and integration. The controller is equipped with an LCD display, enabling seamless interaction and easy mode selection for enhanced user experience.

Perception

Ebot is equipped with IR sensors for obstacle detection, allowing it to identify and avoid objects in its path. For path navigation, it utilizes line-following modules to smoothly traverse predefined tracks. Adding a touch of personality, Ebot features an expressive OLED display that showcases cute facial expressions, making interactions more engaging and fun.

Power

Ebot operates on a rechargeable battery, ensuring uninterrupted functionality during use. Its controller is also rechargeable, allowing for continuous operation without the need for frequent battery replacements. With an efficient power management system, Ebot is designed to support extended learning sessions, minimizing downtime and maximizing engagement.
